Ashiatsu massage utilizes gravity as a helper, with the massage therapist using the whole body as a tool. The therapist's body weight is used to press, sweep, swirl, and relax the muscle. The massage is done in a slow, smooth, and relaxed manner. Specific strokes are applied to provide deep relaxation and release muscle tension.
